This option is a must if you desire to pay your mortgage down quicker, thereby reducing the amount of interest you pay over the course of home ownership. By decreasing the amortization by as little as 4 yrs when you renew your mortgage, depending on the size of your mortgage, your payment will increase very little. Also paying your mortgage payment every 2 weeks as opposed to monthly will save you thousands and thousands in interest.
